We believe that the Soccer Shots Curriculum encourages inclusive, child-centered activities, facilitated and encouraged by coaches and families, in a safe, positive, fun and welcoming environment. We believe that all children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and linguistically, through soccer and play.
A Soccer Shots Session Includes:
» Activities that promote development in each early childhood domain
» A theme of the day woven throughout the session and applied to each activity
» Character words that are succinctly defined and applied throughout each session (by coaches and participants)
» 3 rules that emphasize the character words
» An objective for each day’s session that describes the outcomes of the class
» Ideas for differentiation that are provided for each skill or game, both individually and for groups of children
» Opportunities for play and creativity
» An emphasis on the development of soccer skills while having fun
Dear Families: Below are some answers to some Frequently Asked Questions.
1. Where Does My Child Go For Soccer Shots? All Soccer Shots sessions are held on campus at your child's school unless you are enrolled in one of our public park programs.
2. What does my child need to wear?
We love for your child to wear their Soccer Shots Jerseys once they receive them (usually by the 2nd week) but it is not mandatory. Please make sure your child is wearing close-toed shoes such as sneakers on the day of soccer. We also ask that they wear weather-appropriate attire. If your child attends one of our public park programs please bring a water bottle with the child's name on it. Soccer Shots will provide the rest.
3. Do We Prorate?
We do prorate! Our system will prorate you automatically if you enroll after the season has begun. PLEASE NOTE: If you do enroll after the season begins please let the school and your child's teacher know.
